problem with engine starts but dies in 2 secs

Hey all,
Ran into a problem last night i was driving and my car just died.
battery is fine spark and im getting gas. I start the engine and it runs for like 2 secounds and just dies. Anybody have any suggestions?
battery is fine,getting gas,spark is fine but something is telling it to turn off? please any help

i had that problem as welll it was my fuel pump

does the fuel pump make any noise when it turns on?
just before you start the car?

i ahve a fuel pump, it works, 50 bux and its yours, 60 installed

Fuel pump is supposed to make noise when you turn the key to ON. So you dont need to start to car. Turn the key to on and listen for a whirring kinda noise from your fuel pump underneath the rear seats.
