EX sedan just dies, but restarts??
I picked up a 92EX (auto), and it's exhibiting a strange problem.
It would just die (not violent - kinda sputters, then shuts off). this happens both on the hiway and when idling. the weird thing is that it will start right back up again with no problems.
It was suggested that it might be the fuel filter (~200kms on it) so I'm going to change that and see how it goes.
Just wondering what the most likely cause would be.

Hhaah.. ok;
Update:
I swapped out the fuel filter yesterday morning, I had a heck of a time removing the vertical lead into the fuel filter since it was so old, had to bring out the hammer and vice grips. 1992 - 300k's, the fuel filter it self was all rusted.
After I put it back let it run for like 15-20min and it didn't shut down. let it run today for 15mins and it was fine also.
Funny the HB that this was going to replace is now behind hte sedan, DEAD. it cranks, won't start

Let us know if the problem persist.. that must have been one dirty *** filter if it caused your car to shutoff like that. Also had this problem as well.. turned out to be my ignitor. If you need one I have a brand new one I am selling since I just ended up buying a new distributor.

I'm going to start driving the sedan as of today. (plates are going on it after this post).
So far it hasn't died yet since I swapped the fuel filter. I haven't driven it anywhere though, just let it idle on my driveway since thats how it died the last time.
