If you're modding your car, how can you not know what chip you put in? You're the one that bought it. That just doesn't make any sense to me and I'm sure everyone that reads this will agree. Hmmm? Something sounds fishy. But anyways, I still doubt you're getting better milage due to the chip, the chip which you don't even know the name of.
I'm not here to flame you if that's what it sounds like. I just don't think it's right to blow money on something that is litterally useless, possibly harmful for the car if not done right. That's all.

Haha -- well I know the kind of speeds you do Steve -- haha -- you merge for 50km's all the way home.
Regardless, I'm not really busting his *****...only disagreeing with his statement that a chipped ecu will help a stock motor.
His motor is built with high compression and cams...it could use more fuel... not really the case for a stocker B16.

Thanks for the support steve, I was mearly suggesting that for the third time for the small amount of money a chip is a good investement. I dont know what kind of chip it is because I bought a used ecu with obd2 to obd1 wiring harness with four different chips, and the one that is in there now is the one that I found felt the best. and I paid 320 cdn. you tell me somthing that you can spend that kind of money on that will give you any kind of return. I dont really care what the name is or who made it I am too old tired and busy to worry about such things. When I find the ten minutes to open it up and read the label Ill let all of you know. It revs to 9700 and v tec comes on at 5000 whatever that is. And I just go that fast because the car does. Why do mods if not to use the power?? Why dont you beleive me about the fuel economy. Why would i lie. I have nothing to gain. That would be pointless. And why laugh about how fast the car is? I was pretty surprised at the speeds it went, now I dont do that everyday but I was in a hurry to get home. You are right steve I was merging ha ha.

and i disagree. stock computers are always WAY safe. you can get more power just by tuning and chipping. lean out abit and change the ignition curve. you can make your stock engine more efficient.
i have retired from the high speed trip home. just cruise at 120 now. i need my licence to make money so i can feed the kids.

Tuning and chips of course can result in gains...but only if they mate to the mods of the motor.
Simply throughing revs or gas at any setup will not generate power.

Whatever, go buy a set of headlamps or get some paint done or lower the car put some bling rims on it and hang out at a coffee shop and talk about performance dont buy a chipped ecu it will make your car guzzle gas and is a waste of money whatever the case. Have an opinion not a solution

Just buying a chip or a chipped ecu and throwing it in will just be a waste of money. A chip should be tuned to the specs of the motor in order for it to run properly, especially for Honda's. Otherwise, there is no point.
