I called Scott Newman and he gave me a good quote on it. I think it is affordable cost for sure. It is just switching a CX rack to DX rack. No mention of crossmembers or anything.

Did you find out if the EK has the same issue if you remove the power steering belt Charles?

I found out the hard way that the crossmembers are different on the fourth gen. My rack came loose in the crossmember because the straps did not fit right. Made for so real weird feeling steering before I got it fixed. But, Scott seems to be a reputable figure on the board so if he says no need then....

Scott told me that it is the same thing. I am picking up a CX rack later this week and will have this mod done soon. Then, alignment after (which I need one anyway)

I think EK doesn't have that issue. I havne't heard about switching crossmember for this mod on EK chassis. Let's hope we are right on this one.

I just remember this, Scott told me that as long as there is power steering fluid in the reservoir, the rack is lubricated. But that's not the way to do it.

Rerouting the lines is one way, but not the best way. So he suggested to switch the rack.
