possible motor swap?

Anyone know if it's possible to do a swap like a fuel injected b16 into a late 70's model civic which are carburated? Will it work or will any motor bolt right up to the chassis? There' no emissions from those years so no worries there.

Thanx

remember... mechanical fuel pump vs electic... so if you wanna switch the whole car to FI, then you run all the harnesses out of the B16 car and you have to put a fuel cell in with an electic pump. So you can switch it all over to F/I, or you can just take off the t-body on the B16 and replace it with a Weber sidedraft.

I seen an ITR in a late 70s Civic

why not just add the complete wiring from a b16.... or which ever motor you wanted.... then its just a matter of hooking everything up per usual in a b16 or which ever motor

How much will a webber sidedraft cost whatever it is?

Also how would you go abouts mounting the motor in the car, does hasport make a mounting kit for such a car?

Aaron, adapter plates made of phenolium....

MBSi, a Weber goes for about $300 USD... I'd get a pair for this little project.

for mounts, for sure custom...

owner: Mike Goo

car: 1988 Integra

motor: B16A2 from a Del Sol VTEC
mods: Z speed cam sprokets, Weapon R air filter (was a HKS), custom exhaust, Dynamic Autosport Chip and a custom VTEC controller.
shop: Speedtek, in Hawaii
quote: Doing a VTEC engine swap in a 1G Integra was a very difficult task which required custom fabrication and modifications to pretty much the entire car. So if you don't have the time, the money and the patience, I would not recommend this swap.

This car is sick joke, and somewhat similar to the plan you're talking about... on a very very distant level.

you have a rust free 2nd gen... I'll give you $2000 for it if it's a 1500S.

Better to go for late 2nd gen or early 3rd gen '84. Lots of parts in wreckers than 1st gens. EW block is pretty damn durable, and combined with a properly ported SI head and dual webers, you're making nice HP.

Peace..
