Port and polished Type-r head on gsr motor

im putting this on my JDM gsr motor, the motor is bone stock besides a AEM intake, bored out t/b....how much power will it add? a noticable difference??

when ppl are selling a head..they include the valve train right? valves, retainers, cams, cam sprockets, etc...

hard to say how much gain you'll have, and most people sell it with the complete valvetrain intact OR they sell everything BUT the cams

But you should feel a difference, it's quite obvious, because of the ITR cams, and the better flowing intake manifold. I hope you have a B16A or a ITR (Skunk2) intake manifold because the GSR one you have now, will not fit.

ITR head + GSR shortblock = Poor man's type R

You need some decent cams to take good advantage of the PnP'd head.

it will lower your compression so your gaining abit of flow but minus the cams and lower compression so you might come out with barly any gain....not to mention the P&P on those heads is pretty much a joke they jsut clean up the ports slightly...I'd say jsut get cams (ctr) and a skunk 2 mani for your gsr head and get a vafc and you will find better gains...then later you can get a real p&p..teh type r head woudl only maek sense if you had higher compression pistons like ctr and cams
