piston compression question

hey guys jus wonderin if u knwo anything about pistons and compression..now i would like to know what is the difference of a 12.1to 1 compression VRS the 11.5 to 1 compression is it a lot also if i go to a 12.1 compression then would i still be able to use the pumps or am i gonna be a race fuel *****? thanks

the difference between the two is the amt of space they take up in the cylinder.

no, you can run quality 94 pump gas, but a lot of that will depend on your fuel tuning and ignition timing.

IMO 13:1 (ish) is pushing the limits of pump gas.
I know some people are gunna say, that they've run more on pump gas, b/c their head has had every step taken to prevent detonation, and they're running huge cams that bleed off lots of compression and they're tuning was dead on. But you'll be fine with 94 at 12:1
