need help

i have a 1993 civ hatch

heres my problem... if i select the outside air( not recirculating air)
if im at a stand still i smell exhaust fumes in the vents.

the entire exhaust system is new and theres no holes nor is there any loud sounds at all.
seems to me thats theres a leak near the engine bay... but i dont see nothing...

is there a cobin filter for these cars? maybe it popped off? or replace?

need advise.. thanks guys

There are no cabin filters for EG's. But what your saying doesn't really make any sense, especailly when air recirculation is on. Sorry don't really know how to help

OIC, then your problem is probably some sort of exhaust leak. I believe the Fresh air intake vents are located at the bottom of the windshield. Good luck

If you say your exhaust system has no leaks I would double check that.. A lot of time there are small leaks at the top of the pipes where there was welding done. If you double check that and its ok, then i would suspect that you might need a new doughnut gasket or exhaust header gasket.
