My CLUTCH is almost gone... (Help!)
I currently drive a 1998 Honda Civic SI coupe and back in November of 2003, I was told by a Canadian Tire mechanic that I needed to replace my clutch as he was performing my Emissions Test. However, my cousin (who's also a mechanic-in-training) said that my clutch was still good because it wasn't slipping @ the moment.
However, mid-April-late May (2004), I've noticed that my car isn't picking up as efficiently anymore.... so as it CURRENTLY stands, I think my clutch is nearing its end...
Does anyone know a good place (name of business, phone number) where I can get my clutch replaced? (ie.good job, pay less)
Should I go to Honda and get them to do it?? And what brand/kind of clutch should I go for? I basically want a durable/reliable clutch... Many thanks to all.

changing a clutch.. (and a transmission in my case when I did this) is an easy job it's not all that complicated.. you remove the tranny fliud. take out the axles (no need to break the axle nuts) and then you start removing transmission bolts and the mounts and presto you slide the input shaft out of the engine and start replacing the clutch.. simple stuff just takes a long time....
