Header & Muffler Advice

My first question is my mechanic recently found a leak on my stock header in my 93 Civic SI, so i decided to buy a performance header. I was looking on ebay and found a DC-S Header for about $100CDN w/shipping and also found another header for $250CDN w/shipping which looks like the welds are done a lot better, but they both claim to provide the same amount of horsepower gain (10-15HP gain). Wondering if it's worth buying the more expensive one or just stick to the cheaper one b/c like most people I'm really strapped for cash right now, but I don't want to buy something that I'm going to have to replace soon.

My second question is that I want to upgrade my exhaust. right now It's stock and I want to gain some more power but mostly I want it to have a nice sound. I don't want something crazy loud that'll get me pulled over all the time or something that sounds like a souped up lawn mower. I was told that the Apex-I WS was really good, but I read here that the OEM type R muffler was also really good, so wanted to know which one you guys recomend and also which is the best place to get them in the GTA and around how much it's going to cost me.

I would checked to make sure those are legit DC sport headers.

Second, I just bought a apex'i WS II cat back for my car. Getting it put on tomorrow. Cantonagod has one on his car, I have driven it and I love it.

the apex i worldsport exhaust is an amzing unit, on a stock d series if u add headers and exhaust u will honestly see minimal power gains, it will get a little louder but the claimed hp from the companies that make it are average, u wont see 10-15 whp gain.

Exhaust wise im running a 2.5"cat back exhaust custom mandrel bent with a gsr muffler and it sounds amazing not too loud but u get more of a engine noise than just exhaust

The ones on ebay isnt real DC, its some fake "DC-S" stuff. Anyway, it will do what you want instead of paying for the real ridulous price of the DC Sports.

Anyway most of them these days do give you a performance boost but not significant especially if you still stock and you do not compliement the headers by opening up the exhaust manifold slots. I plan to do that later on either on my current Ractive Header if its still good to use, or another header.

I think some of the people on this board are asking if its real because the real one I THINK has a CARB label. So if a cop pulls you over (I dont know, just dont race or do something stupid to get pulled over and you're fine) you can tell him/her its CARB and you will be fine from a ticket.

i got a hedman chikara ceramic 4-2-1 for my 98 si, put it on last summer. it didnt fit perfect because of contact with the block, so it vibrated at idle-- however the vibration stopped after about 2 weeks. the header totally opened up torque in the mid range so the bottleneck between 3-4.5k rpm is gone. i am content with it.

exhaust, I would say get a whole kit (catback) if u can find one. otherwise the 2.5 pipe + gs-r or itr muffler sounds like a good combo. put in a hi-flo cat while you're doing the work.

do the work all at once.

I'd personally say to get the dc sports header if you can. I'm kinda in the same boat now except I don't have a header problem I have a busted intermediate pipe.

Does anyone know if a full 99-00 sir exhaust pipe fits and bolts up to all the hangers in an ek/ej hatch with a 2nd gen B16A. I mean is the length of the pipe for all the pieces perfect or is there any kind of modifications required.
