These replies were supposed to be in my inbox but nothing was there.

Anyways, Pac Mall is a mother F#$Kin' ripers. Hate that place so much, people who buys stuff there must not know anything or just stupid. I know b/c I got ripped off alot there, that's b/c I didn't know before - never ever go there ever. THIS IS A WARNING to everyone. I was there today, the prices have not change. Still 450 for 2000 civic angle eyes and the old projectors, I am picking up those projectors next week for 280 no tax, even with tax, it is only 3xx something. Some of their Spoon products looks pretty fake. The Rear sway from Spoon is 513 just for one. It does not look real, usually japanese products engrave their name or logo on their product, even the packaging looks fake. Spoon and other aftermaket products usually comes in a box, not plastic bags, like their's, some of it do, just the cheap stuff. I know a wholesaler that told me that China is making alot of copied products and selling it really cheap. They could be getting those sways for $10 and selling for 513, maybe not $10, too much exaggeration, maybe 65. So be careful, look for certificates or engraved logos. China is making alot of cheap look alikes out there.
I don't know if FAP has Spoon, but they can always get it if you want it, after all, they are retailers also. Ask for JUN or TODA if you go and post, b/c I have to work this whole week.

Stupid eh?

I don't seem to have a problem getting good deals there.

Maybe because I know what they REALLY pay for some of the stuff, and I let them know that.

Sorry to hear about your experience, but most of the time, I go there to get something to eat, or hang out with some of the club members when we are bored.

Other than getting CW headlight bulbs, or air fresheners, or stacks of CDR's, I don't bother with the big ticket items........that because I can get most of the stuff for cheaper......I just like to check out what THEY sell stuff for.

You must look like an easy person to rip off, I have been going there since there was 4-5 stores and I know probably 50% of the store owners. I can always get a better deal there than anywhere else, you just have to know where to look and how to shop. If you go into S28 they will rip a hole in your ***. You have to go to private ones, and talk to them so they are comfortable with you, then buy. Also never think that the price given is the real price if they don't like you they will give you a stupid price to get you out of there store. You have to remember a lot of them are there for citizenship reasons and they do not care if they sell to you. Try Stephen's or Autobas they are private and more likly to deal prices.

and for the engraving Japanese stuff. If you ever look at real Japanese stuff, you will find that most top quality stuff has no name on it, look at all the rims in the Japanese racing they say nothing but they are the best. Japanese do not like to brand everything they think it takes away from the original style, I know my Girlfriend was Born and raised in Japan.

As for Bit Chargers they are on sale in Market Village next door, also another good place to look. They get less people in there so prices are better, but if you feel out of place in Pac Mall you will feel extra wierd in Market.

I know why you get good deals, I went with you that one time.

YOU KNOW HOW TO TALK TO THEM!!!! You make them ultra comfortable and that is what they need to loosen up and give good prices.

sorry am I missing something here? is this a store we are talking about or a relationship? what kind of a business needs to feel comftrable with their customers so they can offer good prices? it should be the other way around, they should go out of their way to make the customer feel welcome and comftrable, some people will pay more if they are looked after better, their prices should already be competative. I realy don't care if they are here for citizenship or profit. how some of them act in their GREENCARD STORES if you will, is very rude, and i'm sure they don't get that sort of treatment in any other mall in toronto, what gives them the right to do that to others in that mall?

The first thing you have to understand is this is not like other malls, in all malls in North America you must rent space to open a store. Pac mall on the other hand they buy their cubes for extremely high prices. When it first opened, for one of the small cubes it was $90,000 now it has almost tripled. These are like little private properties and a lot of them use them as places to chill with their friend and could care less about the people who walk in. Next thing is, this is an asian mall and works like an asian store in asia. They like a challenge you have to fight for the good prices it is part of the experience. I am just saying the more friendly you are and the more comfortable they are, the easier it is to get a good price.

Some think it is stupid like you do, but I find it a shopping experience where nothing is a it seems. Plus once you know a few people it is really easy to go from store to store saying they will give it cheaper until it won't go down anymore.
