Installed a short ram tonight
I got a free short ram tossed in with my motor purchase.
Anyways I installed it fine, but the tube that connects from the engine to the intake i didn't have a rubber hose for it. So right now its thr stock hose thats super hard to bend and has a hard plastic end on it. Its dangling in the engine bay. Is this bad, or does it mean that just any excess oil will go into ther engine bay.

It shouldn't be a problem for now, but I would suggest getting a short piece of flexable hose to connect the valve cover to the intake.
No oil should be going out that hose, as far as I know the intake sucks gasses? out of the valve cover through that hose. Someone correct me if i'm wrong...

for now, its not a problem. go to home depot and buy urself a flexable hose for like $1.00 and a clamp for about $.50 ...or u can goto a performance shop and buy one of there flexable hoses that come with an intake....u know those yellow hoses....i think they would be around $5 ...if its hard to find i know Pit Stop has them...dont know how much.
or u can get an air breather....but i hear those aren't good.

One more question. What do I do with the old tube? It is very hard, and looks like it is connected to another tube that goes down below the engine, so do I just leave that one dangling and forget about it?
Or do I somehow detach it from the other tube and take it off completely.

Not hard to do, done it on a friends civics. A little coolant comes out so do it when the engine is cool.
