Short Ram intake installed

Hey guys just bought a short ram intake and installed it.

Anyways the thing is so damn loud, kicks up just after 3000 rpm, is there anyway to suppress this or do people jsut get used to it?

I think there is a little of increase in pickup but the sound covers any positive things about it. I liek my car quiet and smooth.

anyone have any suggestions on alternatives on air filters, im planning on putting back my stock air box now, but it lags like crazy when ac is on

Anyone wanna buy a 1 day used no name brand filter i paid 75 bucks for that crap

ill give you 10$ for the filter.
as far as noise goes, people dont buy sri's to sound stock.

having a SRI it gives you a better throttle response, but very little gain if on a stock engine... as for a new filter, are you going to be using this filter in the stock air box?? i would suggest a K&N flat filter... or there is a new filter out true flow..

www.trueflow.com

we have tested these out, on both grand prixs and my honda.. and they are very nice, they are a foam filter, and on their site there are good examples of how they flow better then alot of filters out there....

Be a man! :P
Honestly though the noise isn't that bad. Or if your really worried about it, get an airbox, and just put it over the filter and leave the hole at the bottom open.

Actually Im getting to like the sound, personally im not the type that likes a loud car but it does sound more powerful versus a fart can, but i wish it was at alil higher rpm, maybe 4000 or 5000 between
