Talking installed hedman headers

okay it was a little warmer yesterday so i installed my new hedman headers. I filled of the inside to make them clean and for optimum air flow, the welding piont inside i mean at teh joints. install took a little bit of time pain in the *** to take off all the supports for that stock heavy piece of junk. The after market one is like a feather when compared to it. Anyway extended the o2 sensor and i didn't need a special key like some one said just a 22mm wrench, bolted everything on started her up. Oh yeah definetly a very good performance upgrade. Even though i bought it for my zc this will help the stock motor breathe better. I took it out for a run not only is it quite a bit louder but the throttle response is excellent rpm's are moving at a nice rate of speed. I also had it started without any headers there were sparks and flames coming out it looked so cool hehe. Anyway ways guys and gals get a header one ofthe best performance upgrades

the stock ZC exhaust header has two down pipe holes as opposed to the stock Si's one. You either have to purchase an after market (DC Sports or Kamikaze) or you can "fix" your Si header to work on the ZC by "filing" down the Si header as the ports in the ZC block are a little larger than the Si header.the ZC is a 4-2 and the Si is a 4-1 and it is for this reason that you can NOT use your Si down pipe with the ZC header.

Thumbs up

yeah the install wasn't that easy like i said there was a few bolts and brakets to take off, the whole thing took me approx around 2.5 hours cause i did not have the car on a hoist, only on stands. I would rate this however a pretty easy install just takes a bit of time. This headers fits the zc no problem, all the ports are fine for it, you only have to file the bolt holes to the side a little bit each one. This header goes straight from the head right into the cat, really nice and the noise is really nice a little louder but sounds powerful If you guys got any other questions let me know

DX Sleeper is yours ceramic?
I picked up a Chikara header from Performance Improvements that I'm gonna toss on the ZC while I get the swap. (May as well while the engine is out)
I'm gonna paint it with ceramic paint too.
