I NEED HELP......open to any suggestions!!

I just got a 2001 civic dx coupe and it's totally stock and I have never put aftermarket parts on any of my cars before. I was just wondering what should be the first thing I do to upgrading the performance of my car.

I'm open to any Ideas!! Thanks

depends on what your budget is.
You can do pretty much what you want but if you don't know how much you want to spend its going to be hard to plan things.
Intake, and Exhaust would be a good start but again ..... depending on what you're looking to get out of it the price will vary

Absolutely susp. It's the first thing I've tackled on each of my aftermarket-equipped cars. Bottom line is we drive the urban jungle every day, with cops on every corner. Sure you can try it going 100 km/h through downtown streets, but what are the consequences. But no one is gonna look at you twice as you carve the occasional off-ramp. It really improves the fun factor exponentially. Unfortunately, you have the first Mac strut Civic That's too bad. My Mac equipped cars don't do nearly as well as the dbl wishbone cars. Nonetheless, that's 100% for sure the best starting mod. Shocks (esp for your car, as 01 Civics are known for leaky struts), springs, wheels and tires, sway bars, strut bars... oh the fun!!!

there are a few 7th gen enthusiasts on here, but if you really want top of the line stuff I recommend you try some 7th gen forums specific to your car. they would have ACTUAL feedback as opposed to the guesswork you'll get here. not many hardcore 7th genners here.

warranty?? who's concerned about warranty?

I did my car when it was 2 months old... it's never been in for ANY warranty work, it's a HONDA - not a Mitsubishi or Ford or Chrysler.
