"HP" stainless steel exhaust - have you heard of it?

Hey guys,

I was on my way to get new tires installed on Saturday when my tailpipe fell off the muffler. So, after getting the new tires installed I drove over to Zorro muffler in mississauga where I had the original stock replacement muffler installed a few years ago. They agreed to replace the rotted out muffler under warranty but mentioned that they had one stainless steel muffler left that fit my car and would give me the equivalent of my muffler off it. It looked good ( you can see it sticking out on my new signature pic) and so I agreed to have it installed. It has the letters "HP" etched onto the side, but I can't find much online for them - has anyone else got this system or know anything about the manufacturer?? like a website. Thanks for the help.

Phil

What do you guys think - I've now got H&R springs, Koni red shocks, new Michelin Pilot XGT H4 tires, and a sewer pipe stainless steel exhaust - finally startin to rice my ride!!!

Apparently Zorro has alot of "no name" stuff...but as long as it works, and the prices are good, then I'm happy.

I have heard of a company called HP Racing. Not sure if they are the same company that made your exhaust or not though.

HP Racing is another aftermarket company. Can't be worse than RACTIVE. Are you sure it's not just the tip though?

WalMart sells stainless steel headers and exhaust from HP.

Some places sell HP coilovers. So I'm guessing that they are suppliers of generic aftermarket stuff under their company name.

better than stock, you're lucky.

i did another search on google for hp racing instead of hp exhaust and came up with this link which i think is what i got - kinda hard to see the logo or inside the tip in the pics, but thanks it looks like this is it - ill take a digital pic and post it tonight to compare

http://www.hpracing.com/parts_detail...n=&s_part_no=&

i dont want you to get the wrong impression - i didnt get a stainless steel muffler at no additional cost - they just applied the cost of the original replacement against the stainless on - i paid $320 installed - i hope i didnt pay too much

whoa $320 ???

is that the catback or JUST the muffler?

if it is just the muffler replacement, it seems a bit high(considering the fact that they gave you credit against your old broken one), I'm not too sure. Can anyone else substantiate this?

example: R1 rs1000 stainless steel straight through muffler is $110 + Zorro is s'pposed to charge 60-100 for an aftermarket install that YOU bring in.

at the most it should be 200-250.

But I'm not an expert. That's just what I gather.

I called the muffler shop last night and said I wasn't happy with the muffler and they said they'd put a stock one back on and take this one back - I think maybe I'm gonna go on my lunch hour.

Magnaflow is complete garbage when it comes to exhausts. They suck for Honda's.
