How much to lower with 17" rims?

Hey all.

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Se. Just bought 17" rims on it, havn't put them on the car yet. What is a good/safe distance to have the car lowered? Are adjustable springs ok to use? Also, since it's a SE model, when looking for parts what model should I look for? SI, DX, LX or EX ??

Thanks

Neuspeed Race springs hands down! 2.25" in front and a 2" in the rear. Thats what I have on my hatchback with the 17's.

With rubbing? - No.

I think the only I ever had a problem with my car being that low is that I scaped my front lip on a steep driveway but other than, no problems. If you do plan on going with these springs, get the adjustable shocks while you're at it.

1.25" drop on my 98' with minor rubbing. Could be my offset. Allways check your offset before purcaseing rims!

1st problem your going to have is that you got 17's, no matter how low you get your car, it's still going to look high

look at tego's car, he has his lowerd to the rubber almost and see how high off the ground it is

It is lowered to the rubber, rear wheels are tuckin' in a bit and the front almot tuckin. My dad took my car out for a drive yesterday and I watched him while he took off...I never realized it but its pretty low.

Looks high huh...
