K last week this guy asks me to install his motor he picked up from BJA in toronto so i put this motor in and we go to start it and find out the timing belt is ****ed and sliced!!!!!! so we replace the timing belt the motor starts and is pissing coolant from everywhere, the head is leaking oil the water pump is gone, so we take the motor out of the car and take it back!!!! they try to tell us that it wasn't their motor that we just changed the valve cover were like WTF give us a new motor so they give us a nice new Cabeurated ZC they tell us they tested this motor and it is a 100 percent mint motor !!!!!we get it all in the car and find out the new timing belt hads no teeth on it !!!!! were just replaceing the timing belt today and thats should fix it but BUYER BEWARE when bying an engine from Big Japan

Not only did they do that, they tried playing me and corey for fools. Little did they know we were just proving they were crooks. First, one of them tries selling me a 90 si bumper with lip and lenses for $250. Then we asked if they had one piece headlights and he said yes. We asked if they fit in hatchbacks without any mods and he lied and said yes and wanted $300.

hmm ive bought stuff from them for good prices and havent had any problems, then again i never bought any drivetrain parts from them just body pieces.

i have friends that have bought stuff from them and so have I...i can trust their car parts and etc but no way with motors..

only problem i had was they gave me an obd1 ecu so i had to go back and ge an obd0 one

first off im just the mechanic the guy told me he had the motor and wanted it put in so i put it in i was under the assumption it was a good motor he sure wasn't paying me enough to rip the motor down and inspect it he was paying the bill and all he wanted was his motor in the car. even his third motor which his other friend installed was ****!!!! 3 motors in a row were all trash

Hey I know this is an old thread but yes, I have to comment on this so people can stay away from them. Cablerat is right! I bought a motor from them through a guy on this board called "Darizzla" his name is Ervin. He's on other boards as well like TorontoAccords. Anyway the first motor I bought from them the delivery guy dropped and the intake manifold cracked! So they got me a new engine. However, I have suspicions that they re-used the tranny since when I went back, I saw the cracked engine without my tranny. Second, I am skeptical that the engine they sold me is not a true JDM SIR II! Its very hard to tell, it has all the tells of a true SIR II, but the date on the engine block leaves it suspect. But they lied about that too, told me it was a 98 when it was not. Also told me originally I would be getting a b16a with spoon cams, then afterwards told me the engine failed a compression test when originally they gave me good numbers on the engine.

I could go on and on and on about my ordeal with them. Needless to same talking about it just pisses me the hell off! Stick with a known place, and go to an affiliate for God sakes and save yourself the time and money. Take it from me a "Non Member" who doesn't just support the affiliates for the better of Toronto Civics. They are affiliates because they do amazing work.
