how do i remove the valve springs and valves from the head?

how do i remove the valve springs and valves from the head?

i have a d15 from 88-91 dx. have everything else done and removed just need the valves and valve springs removed.
can anyone please gimmie a heads up on how to?

valve spring compressor.
remove c clip and there you go.

can i buy the valve spring compressor at crappy tire, part source, or princess auto?

an at home job? il prob take it into work and do it there.

you can rent a spring compressor from part source. Place the compressor on the retainer and the other side of the compressor on the bottom of the valve. Compress the valve spring and remove the valve locks (keepers) and when you remove the compressor the retainer and spring will come out.

you shouldnt really need a vavle spring compressor to do a d series, I just use my two thumbs and push on the spring retainer, get a small magnet to remove the keepers, they are not c clips. do all this with a bunched up rag in the combustion chamber so the valve wont fall down. its really easy on the d engine.
