Hot air intake piping

I notice the intake pipe is pretty hot, so I am thinking to wrap some duct tape around the pipe, will this decrease the heat of incoming air? Thx

The heat is a result of underhood temperatures. Duct tape will not do anything.

Use heatwrap if you really want to do it.

Absolutly...........duct tape or foil won't do anthing under there, if anything the tape with just loose its stickiness over time 'cause its too hot under there, it gets really hot in an engine bay with the hood closed. If anything, everyones got the right idea, go to a performance shop and get header wrap, its made specifically to keep high tempertures in or out. That's what they made it for so thats the right thing to use on that. Its not expensive at all......
