Help/Suggestion
Hello everyone,
I have a 2000 Honda Civic SE 4door. It is all stock and I don't want to do a lot of mods to my car. I have been thinking about lowering and putting some rims on the car.
I know nothing about the suspension system so I want to see what will I need to lower the car? Which brands would you recommand and where can I find them (Address)? Is there anything else that I should know or look for?
For the rims, what type of rims/tires and which shop do you recommand me to get them from?
Anything else you want to add would be appericated.
Thanks,
Maak55

First off welcome to TCC. I would suggest doing a search on this board and even on the net, educate yourself and get to know the products out there. Everyone has their opinion on what is good and what isn't. In the end it will be your decision. As for where to get them, please take a look at our affiliates page, we have a few that carry these products. And lastly, please when you get a change, read the rules for this forum.
Thanks

I like Omni coilovers from john lo (Option JDM) for a daily driven car. Rims, esp on a sedan I think 16 inch rims look good. 17s are even nicer, but they affect fuel economy and ride quality a lil too much for most ppl, not to mention acceleration and braking performance.
So try to score some lighweight 16 inch rims. On a budget, I guess Rota wheels are popular for their super cheapness and the fact they can easily be replaced for low cost if damaged on a curb or pothole. If your budget is a lil more open-ended, then that opens a whole slew of options for you.... in which case pick a few styles you like and post them up and we'll get you pointed in the right direction. Just so you know, if you wanna be slightly ahead of the trends, get some polished (shiny) tuner wheels.... that's what's gonna be hot soon.

If you are looking to spend alot of money I would look into a full coilover system.. If not I would go with a set of springs and struts. I am running tokico Blue Struts with a 2 inch tein springs. Very nice ride
