Help, sqeaking noise?

today was a rainy day.. dunno if it had anything to do with it.. but when i started my car there was this hi pitched sqeaking noise coming from the engine, lasted about 30sec then went away. But i noticed that after the car idled for a bit like at red lights, when accelerating it would make the same sqeaking noise for about 5-10secs... any ideas?

might be the bearings on the alternator or one of those pulleys. I have a similar squeak. Or it may be the belt itself. If you haven't already, check your belts.....then check to see if it is the bearings.

lift the hood when u turn on the car and listen for it.
