help!! battery light wont turn off

Exclamation help!! battery light wont turn off

my battery light wont turn off! whats up with that. i even just got a new battery. same model as the one in it before. help me out guys!

1) Check the battery at the place you bought it.. Some battaries don't come fully charged and you have to cycle them for a few mins while driving the car.

2) Check to see that you don't have a fault in your electrical / charging system. This will be time consuming but is necessary if getting a new battery isn't solving your problem.

3) Check your alternator and make sure that it is effectively sending a charge to the batter.

Those would be my suggestions...

what fault could there be in the electrical system? how do i look for that?>

if the battery is fine..than most likely its the alternator... happened to me.. but i could be wrong..

the alternators belt snapped... i think it was a lil thin then it finally snapped. gonna try to turn in my battery for the warranty

Your alternator wasn't charging, why turn the battery in?? It's not a battery fault.

yeah but my battery is so drained now. its showing black (ac delco) suppose to b egreen

It's drained cuz of the alternator, not the battery... it wasn't getting any charge man... like your lights and all elec accessories were running purely off your battery...not the alternator like they're supposed to.
