h22 civic anyone????

Anybody have a h22 hybrid civic? I just wanted to know if it fits right in? How fast you run stock? And if you would recommend others to do it too.

I am almost positive it does not fit right in. Modification is nessesary to use this motor in a civic.

I believe you can get he motor mounts from HAsports and then it shouldn't be too hard of a drop in for a skilled mechanic.

I think I heard the 1/4 mile times are low 13's ? Not sure on that...someone should confirm or correct me

Myth for the barbharian... There are kits out for them now.. I've actually installed a few and currently working on my own (but that's a different story... KUSTOM mounts for it)

www.geocities.com/kustomautoworks/tech.html

What year is your Civic? Either Place Racing, Hasport or HCP will have the kit for most Civic.. Unless you've got a pre 87 Civic.

As for times.. I have yet to run.. But I know of one ... 88 H/B with H22.. basic bolt on.. intake, header, exhaust... I think he ran high 12s with that. Another one was an EG H/B that ran 13s.

For an H22 swap (complete with labor) you are looking at close to $5000.00 for the mounts, ecu, tranny, motor, axles, necessary modifications to the engine bay etc.

The mounts themselves are worth close to $1000.00

In a 92-95 hatchie you will run 13s N/A

OK

thanks guys, I wanna change my Ls engine but the other engines are too expensive for me. ie.. 16a, b18c1, b18c5, H22. I think I made a mistake by getting it in the first place I should have saved and just got one of the above. It's still faster then my stock si but not exactly what I expected.

Wait till you see the new pics that are going on there shortly (within a week or two, as soon as Joe gives 'em to me).

They did a ton of work to a couple of different cars over the winter...

That turbo'd GSR was a write off accident, the female who purchased the car and work lost control of the vehicle at high rates of speed 5-10 mins after they got off the dyno.

However apparently most of the GSR and turbo was salvaged and now resides in her boyfriends Civic.

Regards,
OK
