Good Grease for Squeaky Clutch ???

When I pushed down my clutch, I get a squeaking noise. I believe I have to lube my clutch fork pivot point.

"To fix this, get some grease, push aside the rubber boot, put it inside the bulge/dent in the metal plate and that's it. Push your clutch a few times and the squeak is gone" (maxxspeed)

What lube/grease should I use ??? I believe it has to be high temp and water resistant. Can you guys give me some names of a good grease that I can pick up from crappy tire ?

i would not use white lithium grease thats from a can it drys up and will only temporarily fix your problem

when i had this problem i used wheel bearing grease, because it is made for high temps and does not dry up

no it does not come in an areosol can, it usually comes in a tub and you can just put some on your fingers and push the boot back and put it on, it also is available in a tube kinda like a tooth paste tube which you can squirt in past the boot

ya that will more than likely work, ive used the wheel bearing grease and my noise hasnt come back to this day

as for where the slave cylinder boot is located, it is loacted on the front of your tranny (so the pass side of the engine compartment) if you look down you will see a "L" shaped boot going into your tranny, pull that back and then you will see where you should grease it

i gotta go back to class now maybe someone can find a picture for you if you are still confused
