I used a package of grease that came with my garage door opener...
I think it was Lithuium grease (white in colour), used it 2 years ago and never had a problem since. Totally smoother than stock.

while you're there, get some silicone spray for the window tracks and other rubber components. I ran into a problem with my window regulators cuz I felt like it was getting dry, so I finally lubed everything up, but a day late and a buck short and now my regulator has a little bit of play in it. So take care of the window tracks so you don't do the same thing.

Oh, now you tell me
Now I have to go back to the damn store

How did you lube the window tracks? I had a problem where it was damn stiff rolling down the driver's side window when it got cold outside. Took it to Flash Auto for them to look at and all they did was lube it but they did it without taking the door panel off How do you do that w/out taking the door panel off??

just stick the tube that comes with the spray into the rubber channels that the window slides in. also do all your weatherstripping and exterior window seal (the rubber between the window and door skin). lube your locks with WD40 or similar. This will ensure 1. the window doesn't freeze shut, 2. the door doesn't freeze shut, and 3. the locks don't freeze shut. don't forget to give your antenna some love too, as well as hinges and latches all around (hood and trunk too)

Are you talking about the little red stick that you put on the nozzle of the can to get it to spray in really narrow places?? And then just spray the stuff down onto the rubber track that the windows rolls down on in the middle of the door?

yeah, those will work, but i find Cheetah grease works the best, I dont know if its available to the public, i get it at work (gm dealership), but it is quite expensive, (25 dollars a can)

Hey B.

My window has a fair bit of play in it now and sometimes doesn't roll all the way down (a little bit of glass is still sticking up). Is there any way to fix this?
