#1 you pull the dip stick out and smell it
#2 the oil is very very runny
#3 the oil goes from being at normal level to like almost double
its not the head gasket either

Unburned gas is getting into your oil.
Most likely cause is piston ring failure.

long periods of idling cause cylinder wall washdown... there are 3 rings on the piston... combustion, oil control... and another one I can't remember. Anyways, you could lose gasoline through the piston rings and not be burning oil that much.

actually guys i found out what was wrong with my engine i wen tto the site www.dmoore.com/crx/zc.htm and i found out that my timing was off by one tooth so i found out that the injectors were all firing at the rite times BUT the gas was missing the fires and ending up in to my oil that way so i changed the oil and changed the timing and now the car is running perfect PLUS my cars compression is perfect so i don't think that was the problem at all
Thanks To all you guys for the info

So i guess this fourm can be closed now??lol
