Fuel Rails....
#21
What's a fuel regulator? Is there more to fuel delivery than just tank->pump->filter->rail->injector->manifold ?
I thought regulators are used in compressed liquid gases like N2O and Propane to atomize them before blending. I didn't know there was such a thing as a gasoline fuel regulator.

I have a fpr, injectors, fuel pump.....
Reason for needing a new fuel rail is because while installing the fpr, the bolt decided to break on me inside the stock fuel rail, so I said time to upgrade (Y)

so we have...
tank->pump->filter->rail->injector->manifold
................................->fpr->return line->tank

But yeah, it makes sense now, forgot about the return lines. Thanks.

well i guess my line art is pretty crappy....its sort of like a y joint at the fuel rail....to fpr and injectors

lol my bad, I get it now. I think this is what you meant to draw:
.................................rail->injector->manifold
.............................../
tank->pump->filter
...............................\
.................................fpr->return line->tank
Is that right or does the Y split come after the FPR with a line going to the rail and the other back to the tank?

if fpr is outbound from rail, it means that there is an outbound line from the rail but you said:
outbound would be on the fpr
you sure that's the layout? I don't see an outbound line from the fuel rail - only an inbound. Maybe I'm missing it

The FPR is mounted to the rail on the driver side of the rail, it's about an inch tall, inch diameter with a vacuum line at the top of it. The fuel-in line comes from the pass side of the car into the pass side of the rail. Hose says "fuel" on it

okay well yes....no outbound line DIRECTLY on rail. But the fpr is on rail and outbound line on fpr.
fpr has vacuum on top and return on bottom
