front upper strut bar question

Hey everyone,

Just had a question my friend is looking to get a front upper strut bar for his 97 1.6EL. I was just wondering if it's the same as the EK or EG? if anybody knows please let me know thanks.

5th gen and 6th gen are different.

get one for a 6th generation.
makes sure you pre plan ahead because on the 6th gen there are two kinds one is the y8 and one is the y7 version with the y7 version if you have an air intake majority of the generic strut bars wont clear.

but since you have a 1.6 el you shouldnt have a problem since it comes with a y8 motor.
