filling rad help

filling rad help

changed my rad today when i was putting the new coolant in it filled the rad maybe 2 litres went in. I started the car and it went down a little i put some more in it seems to be going thou ok but noting is going into the over flow tank
what is the problem

when your old rad was leaking, your engine probably sucked the overflow bottle dry, just top off the bottle and be on your way

I'd suggest bleeding the system... you'd me surprised how much space in is the cooling system... air would be bad because it wouldn't allow proper cooling....
