Exhuast leak..... Please help!!
Hi.
So the story is that my muffler (stock) blew. I went out and bought an axle back stock honda muffler to replace the sucker. Turns out that the flanges are badly rusted, and completely bonded together. So I had to cut the seized bolts (what a pain...), and take it off. However, once I took the killed axle-back muffler and flange off the midpipe, it damaged the tip of the mid-pipe. Then I put the new axle-back muffler with the flange on, with new bolts and spring and tide it as best as I could. Now it leaks! Lots of the exhuast gasses skip through the chipped off tip of the mid-pipe and won't go through the muffler...
I tried COLD WELD (the glue) to seal it off, but it didn't help much...
I was thinking of changing the mid-pipe as well, but I took a look at it and doesn't seem to be a good idea, since its also rusted and bonded to the CAT from the other end...
So what can I do....? I wanted to finish this off for cheap, but it seems like a bigger problem...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

is that ur car on sig?
if so.. why r u cheaping out on it?
bring it to a shop
they'll weld it for u not that much
unless its like a beater
i guess.. u can seal the leak by wrapping it w/ some kind of special tape.. i forgot what its called

i have used the tape its a good TEMPORARY solution but dosent hold out for long only a couple of days. I had a leak in my old Exhaust and took it to a profesional exaust shop (A&A exhuast in Stoney Creek) they custom bent me a new pipe and installed it for me for $50. farting went away and car had power.
i say take it to a Exhaust shop and get it fixed b4 other problems occur.

Car isn't a beater at all...
No rust on the paint, through the car, or underneath...Runs very strong and I take GOOD care of it... Lots of my hard earned cash goes into this car....
And I think I'm doing a good job, taking it through the modifications...
Well I really feel horrible when some shops try to rip me off. I was qouted $250 to have the muffler changed!
I bought an OEM muffler with flange, only couple months old for $30 and the two bolts from CT for $10.25 each. Over all it costed me $55 to change the muffler myself, with the help of TCC classifieds ....
However, I wasn't expecting to get into such mess with bonded flanges and stuff...
Anyhow, I think you guys are right. I have to get this fixed for good.
I will take it to a muffler shop and see what they can do for me...
----> Not fair-----> After all this work that I did myself....
Thanks for the comments guys! TCC is the best!!
