You're bull****ting. First off, Honda won't even announce the production SiR until next November's Las Vegas SEMA show, therefore it won't end up going on sale until sometime in 2006. Therefore, why would your uncle have access to one now?

Second.... why the hell would Honda put an Si/SiR in a car show if they were eventually planning on releasing the type R here? Wouldn't that have created a bigger stir? Again... not going to happen.

You must think I'm a complete idiot. Your first link is that of a European site, since they are test driving the hatchback, which is not coming out in N. America at all. They will be getting a type-R... big shock, they get it now, too. My point stands: we will not be getting a type R.

And your second link is of the Chicago Auto Show.... why? I know what the concept Si had... and I'm telling you, that those Brembos aren't going to be on the production version, which will be announced in November.

*sigh* this discussion is like

alright i guess you are right-

maybe my uncle was lying to me when he told me that they brought 3 of them 2 weeks ago.

and who knows what they are going to do-

but they are thinking of offering packages for the civic - they said - all people are doing it to the cars anyways- so why not grab the piece of the market and offer the bolt ons and performance parts to the costumer when they are buying

i agree that we might not see the type r here due to the acura rsx

then again you never know

but if we do you owe me a beer

Well, see here's the thing. Your uncle may have access to the '06 Civics, but then those are probably the lower models. You know the D series coupes or sedans (possible R series, if there's any truth to that rumour). Those are going on sale this fall.

The SiR we are talking about won't be unveiled until next November, which makes it pretty certain that it won't go on sale until sometime in 2006, which makes it highly unlikey that anyone has access to it now, dig?

Anyhow, if I am wrong, and they do somehow bring over a Type R, I'll be the first person to admit I'm wrong. Not only will I buy you a beer, I'll pony up for a whole damn keg.
