EG coilovers on an EK?

I'm wondering if there are any problems with putting coilover sleeves from an EG (92-95) onto an EK hatch (96-00). Will it fit? Will there be any problems? (i'm assuming that the EK is heavier) Is this bad for the car? These would be generic Ractive coilovers on stock EK shocks with the stock SOHC DX engine so not additional weight from a B-series engine. In other words ABSOLUTELY STOCK.

I'm not planning to slam it, just put a modest 1.5" drop

What i'm thinking is that if the EK is heavier, then I could just raise the setting a little higher to compensate for the weight difference...or is this not good enough/dangerous.

BTW: I know springs would be a better choice for that kind of a drop but I want to know specifically about the coilover application

Please let me know, thanks!
