Paul from splitfire has straight up lied to me and my friends, i've never taken my car there because i refuse to let other people touch my car. Especially people that lie to me.
But its amazing what happens with a little tuning eh?...lol

blah blah blah. the best thing is go meet the tuner to get a feel for what he is like and go from there. take someone who knows his stuff for added knowledge in your corner. ask educated questions and if you dont get the same kind of answers in return run.

I would also suggest talking to people who've had their car tuned by your potential tuner. Ask them things like how long it took them to tune their car, how many dyno runs they did and what were the results and how much it cost them.
I would also give your tuner as much info about your setup as possible. And specify what octane gas you plan on running.

usually, how much is to tune a car that is mildly built like cams, pistons, rods, springs, gaskets, etc?
how about a turbo on a b16a2 (how much to tune that)? typically... looking for a range, so i don't get too shock when i talk about money issue with the tuners

Theres nothign wrong with paul from splitfire. He does great work, he has been around long before you got into this sport. He takes pride in his work so before you go and bash somebody and trying to ruin a business reputation think before you do it. He must know something to build an 8.66 civic.

Every shop has good and bad stories, and everyshop can drop the ball. Educate yourself and base your decision on the information you gather form speaking with the tuner.
Remember everyone's siht stinks
