D series tranny rebuild

Is there anybody on this board, or anyone that someone know that can rebuild a d series limited slip tranny for me for cheap? Basically what I want done is to rebuild it and throw in a 5th gear from a civic sedan.

Altech aint cheap man, and im looking for like a bottle of the barrel price here. Plus if I wanted to have a shop do it then I already know one that would do it for like 400 bucks

no, a y8 is d-series, it doesnt have limited slip though, and your gearing would still be short, which you are trying to avoid by getting a long 5th from a sedan.

go ahead and build your tranny... don't bother buying another unknown tranny again. there is a place on... d-series boards or maybe H-T that builds bulletproof trannies and I mean, like... up to the point of having straight cut gears!!!

Is the tranny already outaa the car?
If so - I can do it for much less than 400.

PM me for details.

Did you listen at all when I made this post? I want a tranny that comes with a limited slip, otherwise its useless to me.

by all rules of conventional english, that statement implies that you already have a d series limited slip tranny, and all you want to do is rebuild it. learn how to write
