z6 has aluminum input shaft i think so its easier to mess up

y8 is steel less easy to bend and mess up

so id go for y8 as well

98civicdxR, if you could find me a D16Y7 tranny from an EK hatch (CX or DX) with decent milage (yours?), I'd be willing to take my Y8 tranny from my car and trade it with you or something. I'm more into fuel efficiency than all out performance, so I'd prefer a lower performance tranny and save myself a few bucks at the pump. Let me know!

The question is how to get my hands on a EK hatch tranny which has the lowest rev at a given speed (compared to EK sedan or Si tranny).

HX or VX tranny is the key for you, or sell/trade for a 95 1.5L VTEC VX
