lol sounds good man! You should be ok with that Del sol rad!

Same situation with me today, I wasn't easy on the car, and that temp gauge stayed in place.

Now i've got a bit of a rough idle however, it idles at 1400-1500 and surges up to about 1700 rpm.

I changed all my vacuum lines today, and still the same thing. I had an issues with my vac line from the manifold to my FPR, it would just break or blow off under a hard run. So I took it off plugged the line, and backed down my Fuel pressure.

Still have that rough idle. My idle screw on the TB is fully closed as well.......Im not sure what else to check

prolly a tuning issue, you said you were running a basemap and bigger injectors?...tune that bad boy.

I installed a new dual core rad today along with a new thermostat and fresh coolant with a secret ingredient into the coolant...i bet no one (except for brianmcgaugh) will be able to guess what it was.

ya so the overheating got worse today!!!

Just climing up there under moderate driving, and traffic idling was killing me!

I think im gonna throw some of that industrial grade generator blue coolant in there.
Im using it in my bro's accord w/ H22 and my wifes 99 Teg GSR. Works great, car takes long to get to operating temps, and never overheats!

*think the smaller rad hoses would have anything to do with it?........ im also going to bleed it for any bubbles tonight too*

Andrew also, do you have any probs with vac lines breaking or blowing off?
Specifically the vac line from Fuel Regulator to intake mani! Mine keeps either blowing off or breaking! even with zip ties!

i tuned the car a bit today during the hot weather, coolant temps didn't go above 195 degrees, this was with a bunch boostin around too, and even sat there and let it idle and make sure it didn't overheat for a good 45 minutes.
Gunna do some vtec + boost tuning tonight. Got some fresh BKR7E's gapped to .033" in there today too.

djtrini:
now that you've pulled the vacuum line off the FPR, it thinks the engine is at WOT all the time, and you've now turned the fuel pressure down, so at WOT its seeing about 10psi less pressure than if you had the vacuum line attached. I'd hook the vacuum line back up, and try puttin a zip tie around the hose on the nipple it would blow off of.

no, i don't have any problems with vacuum lines poppin off.

Also, i put 2 drops of dish soap in my coolant when i changed my rad/t-stat.

What kind of intercooler are you using? How big? How much of the rad is it blocking?
Where is your license plate?

LOL

why not just search it up then if your interested? Apprently theres some chemical in it that raises the boiling temp? or something.

Here's a pic of how my front bumper looks with the intercooler mounted.

its just a tad bit bigger than the intercooler you have.
I believe the dimensions of it are:
30x6.5x3 inches

I was also considering getting a rad cooling plate from greddy, option jdm etc... Dunno howmuch they actually do but it could possibly help.
