Cooling fan does not turn
My cooling fan doesn't turn. I think it's either my thermostat or fan switch. I am not sure where my fan switch is. Is it number 14 in the diagram??
edit: i located the fan switch, it's 11.

I am going to jump the fan switch to see if the fan turns.
Both the upper and lower radiator hoses are hot after running. Does not mean it is not my thermostat? Or does it simply mean my thermostat isn't stuck closed?

However, after installing the fan switch the fan still did not turn and this time the lower rad hose is cold. Maybe the thermostat also blew?
I am gonna go get a thermostat from crappy tire and see what happens after installing that.

if my fan turns when i jump the fan switch, do i still need to check the relay?
I just replaced the thermostat, my lower rad hose is still cold!
Maybe the thermostat i bought was crap? I am waiting for my car to cool down to get another one.

Okay I fixed everything now.
For archive purposes, I will state the following:
I replaced under-dash #17, it was burnt. Without it, the fan would not turn even if you jump the switch.
I reinstalled my fan switch (ECT, #11). I forgot to put in the crush washer (#14) the first time. Maybe that's why it screwed up.
I replaced the thermostat I bought with a fail-safe type from Canadian Tire. It works because both upper and lower rad hoses get hot.
I also drained, and filled the engine coolant while I was replacing those parts.
If the fan turns when you jump the switch (ECT) then it is not the relay. I came to this conclusion from studying the Helm's circuit diagram.
The engine runs fine and fan kicks in now. Haven't driven the car, but it should be okay.
