Comptech Ice Box Vs REST

Basically I believe they are good for 2 reasons,

1) Get best of both worlds of CAI, and SR systems
2) Don't lose low end power, and still gain a bit of high end as oppposed to CAI, or SR that LOSE low end pwr

comments? advice?

I Still think no matter what you get a SR CAI, of any brand, i think they will all do the same thing! It will sounds great, and you will feel some gains form all of them! I personally went AEM cause i have never heard of anyone have a problem with them!! and the install was easy!! If you want to be a little different then i would go with comptech. Just Get Something!!..lol..

well Jamie was showing me where with the SR the filter sits right above the tranny... so maybe sucking in some HOT air?? I dunno.. I've heard different stories about both.. CAI and SR.. I've heard only good stuff by this comptech icebox.. and I love the design.. so I'll be different and try it out

I'm almost certain that most ppl that have comptech say they didn't LOSE any low end pwr, where as the SR or CAI felt a bit of lag in the lower end (but has higher end gain than comptech)

yes I was reading that too.. I will put K&N filter with this comptech ice box setup...

however, I actually read somewhere that the APEXi filter had better gains than the K&N, and it was cleaner....
