Air Intake question

I'm planning to get and air intake and install it on my 93 civic CX (stock). I just wannted to know how hard the installation is.
another thing is that its more for the sound that it makes , hourspower is the second priority so any recommandations on brands places to buy.. (in northyork, richmound, markhum, thornhill)

thanks alot.

how do you figure its louder? Overall the cold air intake is worth the extra money. The only way id get a short ram is if i had hood scoop.

As for horse power, CAI or SRI doesn't make much of a differnce. You might hear more sound from SRI since it is closer to you then a CAI.

Installing an intake is not hard. You can get a cheap tube, and buy a good filter. Almost all aftermarket stores have intakes. It is like a must have item aside from lightbulbs...

He said horsepower was a secondary concern, sound was the primary.

If that's the case, my SR is louder than my CAI. I use CAI in the summer/spring/fall and SR in the winter.

I guess the SR is louder because it's both closer to you and closer to the TB.

When it comes to intakes brands dont matter, they all do the same thing. As for specs youd really have to look around the net those. as for horsepower the cai is slightly better because it takes in cold air as oppse to warmer air from around the engine as a short ram would. As for filters go K&n are the best. I personally bought the good looking bomb style filter and i willl never use it again, now i just have a plain filter and couldnt be happier with it. Oh and i would also suggest getting a the k&n filter cleaner for any filter u decide to get. I picked my cai last year for 115.

P.s DOnt pay for installation do it yourself or give me a shout. Its really easy.
