Wink coilovers ....new struts!

OK everyone i need major help here.
I got a 98 civic that has low k on it and drives still like new. I have tom motorsports coilovers that I want to use to lower my car.
Now I'm concerned about the way my car will ride one the coilover ( i think sleeves) are installed).....
i dont want to lose the smoothness of the ride. should i get new gas struts right away? ...what can i do to lower my car, but retain abit of the smoothness or the ride?
thanks guys!

and i dont want springs...( they dont lower it enough
THANKS!

well how low do you want to go...past 2.5 inches..??? that is tucking all four corners on race springs... and that low you will need a very good shock like koni yellow or tokico illumina's...you need to realise that anythign lower than 1.5-1.7 is gonna not ride comfortable even with a good shock...a race spring with a good shock is still gonna rattle your kidney's out....not to mention a **** coil like tom's lower than 2 inches on stock shock's you might aswell pay me 50 bux to kick you in the nut's if you think that will ride anywhere near decent...lower your car 1.5-1.7 (which is enought to almost tuck) and you can drive over speed bumps...get atleast a tokico blue or kyb agx shock

tokico blues with crappy coilovers?!!! Dont waste your money. Tokico blues are garbage...they are prone to leak....at least get illumina's or koni yellow's. You can get springs that lower your car as much as you want. But as dingus said if you slam your car its gunna ride crappy. And as for performance, lower isn't better. I mean you can lower your car too much and make the handling even worse.

i would go with race springs if u want a low look, i have skunk 2 race springs, they have a nice stiff springrate, 2.5 inch drop , i replaced my struts with some kybs and i dont scrape or bottom out and with good tires it handles like ur on rails

I want to lower my car too, but according to dingus, I shouldn't lower the car more than 1.6", other than pro-kit, what spring can I use to lower the car 1.6" (other than eibach pro-kit and sportlines)

I just got H&R sports and KYB AGX adjustable shocks. It's a perfect drop and Still rides nice. One finger gap at front, tiny bit higher in rear. You're gonna compromise ride quality no matter what when u lower your car, even with all the nice aftermarket components. But mines not bad at all. Its no bumpy, just a tad bit bouncier.

Hope that helps a bit.
