cluster help

my car has 205,000km now and I wanted a cluster with a tach. I went to a scrapyard today and got one off a 4 door 4th gen and put it in. Problem is it reads 255,000km. How do you take it apart to roll it back to where it should be without butchering it?

Take the guages apart and you will see a c-clip on the side of the odometer. Pop that off and you can roll back the odo.
Don't tell anyone That I told you that.
P.S. don't forget to put the clip back on or your Odometer won't work right. If you need more info, just ask. Also, don't be afraid to pull the needle off. You won't harm it and you need to if you wan't to get behind it.

Yea it's very easy to change, i've done a few in the past. You can just roll it back without taking it apart on many of them, crx's are a bit easier or you take it apart like that other kid said.

It's only Odometer fraud if you try and claim that it is the real mileage. When you sell the car, just tell the buyer(in writing) that the Dash was changed due to damage.
