cleaning engine and tranny
I have an engine and transmission in my garage, and I want to clean them up b4 i swap it into my car next month. What would be the best way to clean them (what product) so that it looks brand new when i drop it in? Is the anything that i should know, so that i dont mess things up (swap is intact and complete)? should i use varsol?
PS. I searched already and didnt fiind anything, that answers my question specifically

I would stay away from the pressure washer... honda cylinders are sealed pretty well from the plug caps, but I wouldn't take that chance. Besides, with high pressure you're just begging to screw up sensors and other electrical no matter how well you cover them.
Degreaser and a wire brush is definitely the way to go. Then rinse with a soft stream of water, and repeat whole process if needed.
Alot of people love the Gunk products, others say they're a big ferking mess. I'm a fan of Simple Green.
Good luck.
