code 22 indicates VTEC Oil Pressure Switch fault, so look for open or short in VTEC OPS circuit or a defective VTEC pressure switch.

vtec will still operate just fine.

its not needed for vtec opperation at all. i have gone so far as to remove the vtp code from my chip.
