car slowing down?

my car slows down when i turn on the aircon.. like it feels stiff...
when i turn on my head lights or even my lights for the gauges... itseems like the lights on the ac (the ones below the player) seem to dim.. is this normal?

normal I'd say... but check the tension of the belt and check the engagement of the compressor clutch.

normal.....you're sucking power to use the air con..... and don't forget.. the civic is only a 4 banger... there's not much power to begin with

Nothing short of changing the motor is gonna help.

Totally normal...when you turn on the AC, it puts a load on the engine...therefore sacrificing more power to turn the compressor...
Turning on your lights requires power from your battery which inturn requires your alternator to charge the power used...
