b18c5 in 6th gen.

Guys last nite i was drunk and had a crazy idea of puttin a b18c5 into my 2000 honda civic 4dr. what do u guys think? Do i have to get like new mounts n **** or can i just use the stock ones.
also how is it overall? cuz i got no back seat and the car is pretty much weightless (doesnt have anything removed interior wise). Also i am rolling on 16' rota circuit 8's. so am i lookin at good power? or should i just stick wit a b20b maybe z????

Full muffler would be nice.

That would be the only clue.

go with a 2.2 cause ur car is heavier u'll get more torque
plus the price difference will be in ur favour and the availbility of the typee is not great

call dave or marty they have a complete 2.2 swap

Use B16A2 mounts from the 99-00 SiR and your B18C5 will bolt in... it's as easy as every other swap out there, except some would argue it's not worth the extra money. IMO, if you want a car that will kick ***, yet be basically bone stock, the B18C5 is the finest engine to put in there. Hear NOT this speak of the H22A... even though it makes for a very fast car, it's just not factory-like. I give mad props to those who do it, but I personally would not

I think you should weigh out your option and ask yourself, is the B18C5 or JDM B18C R really worth $7000? It's the best B-series NA motor Honda created, but $7000 isn't pocket change.

$7000 is just the motor plus install and on top of that after the B18C(5) you'll likely be dropping even more money into it and reaching over $10,000.

If that were the case then why not just save up $10,000 and then build a b20tec which will whoop the B18C R and you'll have a good strong built motor. I mean $7000 and $10,000, when you get into high figures like that what's $3000 when you're saving already right?

Just my 2cents.

a 4dr with a B18c5 is worth it..truuust me... and with a bit more cash..you can get yourself a sedan that has a 9,000rpm redline..

b20vtec= I've seen too many crack or blow. with a ITR engine you will always have reliability on your side..
