Sorry for my ignorance, but it is possible that the controller for the injectors has an accuracy that is 4 times greater than stock requires and therefore the 1000cc will still work. My understanding and experience has demonstrated that the duty cycle accuracy is not sufficient for idle control with large injectors. There is good reason for buying correctly sized injectors - otherwise why wouldn't all the companies just make 1000cc injectors - it would save a lot of cost and design issues - plus only one part to stock for every car model.
Maybe I'm wrong.

The stock injectors are 240cc. That means there is 4 times the difference of apparent duty cycle, i.e., 4%, 8%, 12%, 16%, etc. That doesn't make for good control of the air/fuel ratio, like 1%, 2%, 3% - especially at startup and in the cold. You have little control at idle with big injectors. It idles or doesn't - maybe at 1000+rpm it idles fine after warming up - or maybe its been a long time since you've been near a new stock Honda or Toyota.
Yes, a 1000cc injector might idle like stock, but I'd put my money on it not idling like stock in 95% of installations.

as well if he ran a set of 440cc and maxed them out, what would happen if he boost spikes...boom.
and idling large injectors is all i the tunner, it can be done easily
I think before you plan on boosting you should have a goal in mind 250whp...400whp low boost, hi boost...
you can make 400 on a t3/t4 57 trim, but it will take alot of boost, or you can make 400 with a t3/t67 on a lower amount of boost
your setup will change drasticily depending on what your goals are.
as well if your going for a hi hp setup your gonna have to start thinking about rebuilding the internals.
