if the car is 93 or older the b16a1 should fit in... might have the change wires... and if the integra is 94 or newer the b16a2 would fit in.... but i'm assuming you are talking about the 93 and older cause it wouldn't make sense doing that swap in a 94 + teg....

or really any b series motor will fit i believe its just the tranny that doesn't... cause of the hydro or cable tranny situation

yes it would but the car won't move at all. Your going from a motor that has more torque than one that has less in a heavy car, no point. The car will probably run a 15.4 instead of a 15.6

hey moron, do the swap and figure it out on your own. My buddy done this swap in the spring and he ran 15.4 plus he barely noticed a difference between the 2 motors. Also a stock 2g teg runs 15.5 - 15.6 b/c my other friend ran his car and that's what he ran.

So think with that squirrel brain before yapping

Stepping from a 1.8 non VTEC or 1.7 VTEC to a 1.6 is a negative idea...

i dont understand how losing 20 ftxlbs of torque and gaining 18 hp makes your car faster

Well he said early 90's so a 90-91 has 130 hp which is a 30 HP difference and it's got 10lbs of torque less so your numbers are quite off. Plus your going to a vtec engine but your also lacking on torque and going to a smaller motor. Plus I don't make up times, I see them with my own eyes and they are my buddies car so that's what they did.

I will also add on another example to this. When swapping a d16a6 to a zc your going from 108 hp to 130 which is a bit less than above and 100 lbs of torque to 106 which is **** all. Why do you think it goes .8 seconds quicker for? A bit of power makes a difference in cars like these but not as much to a heavier car like an integra which is designed to run a 1.8 L instead of a 1.6.

The best setup for that integra would be saving that $3500 on a usless b16 swap and rebuilding the bottom end of the B18A and install a fresh B16A2 head onto it and tune it right. Then you'll notice a lot larger gains of it.

The Integra goes like snot with the B16a in it. Ask 90ls he sold his 90 integra to 4doorteg(or something like) on the board. If you don't believe it isn't come out on wednesday..I am sure Dan will be there with it.....its chewed up many a cars on heats off the lights

chewing up cars comes down to the right circumstances... No doubt the car goes... but a smarter thing to do would be to stay with a bigger motor. Now... a B16 in the 1st gen teggy would be downright criminal I LOVE the 1st gen teggy

I sold my 4dr 90 Teg to a member on the board.

Had a b16 in it and i loved it. The car boogied. cant really compare it to my new 90 teg but for a straight swap, the b16 was lots of fun. Also its very noticable over the stock b18.

The b16 loved to scream,, the higher the RPM the more fun it was.

Also the b16 drops into a 90-93 teg without any modification. You will only need to add 4 wires for the vtec , you can get help from G2ic.com in the Teg Tips section.

If you need help email me.

i've seen your posts before and i know your smarter then that.

it would cost a miximum of $2000 to drop a 1st gen b16 into a 90-93. Also your recommendation was to build the b18 bottom end and drop a b16 head. You make it sound so easy. Only to know that if this person does listen to you $3500 wont do him much.
to build a ls/vtec is big money.$3500 may be enough for parts alone.

When people ask for opinions its wize to think of our answers before talking out off our ***.

I was going to say the same thing as ryuujin....the 90 tegs came with B16's in Japan....just like the EF's.....

And in case I didn't clarify myself in my earlier post I love the B16 in the teg......it boots...
