I doubt I could do it...

A gts viper- its alot faster then high 12s, more twards 11s. New zo6's are pulling low 12's at the track, bone stock, drag tires. STOCK C5's Low Low 13, not the ZO6, those are dam fast. Respect to C5's still. As for exotics, you cant comepare them to civics. Like apples and oranges.
As for the talon I bet yo dont miss the tranny, crankwalk, recall on cv and ball joints, anything else I forgot, pour reliablility, repairs, etc... It cost nothing to make a 12/s dsm compared to mustang/honda. AND the next day you know your honda starts and works.
This thread is jacked. Im out.

if I had a b16a and I had to make this choice, I would go N/A 100%, this is what is comes down to ,
b16a boost- lots of power if you rebuild it(the same with any honda motor)- good for highway pulls, maybe with a ls tranny or whatever.
b16a all motor- reliable, good for light to light, and can be a great daily driver, unlike turbo lag, power is there when you need it, no lag and no egt going up on the highway(on stock motor)and WHEN you get pulled over by the cops, the motor just looks some what stock.
bottom line, how far are you willing to go with the car.

There is no low end power on a honda period-- this is when turbo has it lag. Honda's lack tourqe/powerband/hp in this area anyway. (The grey area under 4000 )
"Na" isnt goint to pull untill your at a "moterate" rpm. Thats almost the same lag imo.
Its how you drive, and use the turbo's power to your advantage. Spinning at "moderate" rpm, the turbo will spool very very quiclkly, pulling nearly instantly. (ie: downshifting and high rev launches)
Regardles the same method is done na or turbo to get into that "powerband". Once into the powerband there almost instand responces from turbo anyway, on a decent set up.
Take a look at a greddy kit, the turbo is small enough to spool by 3000 rpm! It runs at higher boost levels to accomidate the small trim. Put that beside a high compression na. Wont compare.
Money spent on a NA set-up wont make you happy.
Look into it. Imo you wont like na, not for a honda. Leave it for mustangs and v-8's, they can make the power, we cant. Theres only 4cy's.
Egts always suck but you can get away with a good pulls on the highway. Holding boost in 5th gear for high speed runs will fry internals. Anyone out for high speed runs in a honda is dumb.
Regardless what your set-up, your always "waiting" for that powerband to pull. You might as well wait that half second longer, because the bottem line is a turbo pulls, and the feeling is incredable. Turbo OWN3z. (4cy)
