Ummm... guys, read all the posts before recommending stuff.... Steve was asking what parts he could put in IN PREPERATION FOR A TURBO... if you guys are recommending he goes turbo on his stock 240cc injectors and a 10 year old stock fuel pump, I will be forced to protest violently j/k And the MSD will be very very good for lighting a much denser charge in the cylinders which will now see a great increase in volumetric efficiency, plus the BTM module allows ignition timing retard under boost. I don't understand how you guys think that a pump and injectors are not ESSENTIAL to a reliable turbo B16, esp considering the relatively high static compression the engine naturally has.

I'm not arguing that they are needed for TURBO setup - but to put them on the car at this point (mildy modded N/A) would just be silly. If he wants to buy them now, fine...but to install them ?????

But I can already tell that by the mood of this thread Steve is not really interested in preparing for a turbo build...sounds to be more interested in buying stuff to say he has more mods.

ps - fuel pump was relaced last year

Not really dan. What I was planning on doing was to add the small stuff that are essential for a turbo and then working my way to the actual turbo. So in about a year, my car will actually have a turbo...

Barbarlo:
Bottom line is, Vipers, Z06, Lambos, Ferraris... that's the kinda cars that run 13s.
I think you ment 12's, 11s in some cases. Depends what models.

haha, ya... well I just saw that the WRX STI and EVO were running 13s but ya, that's f00king impressive... and yeah, the Viper and such cars barely nick the 12s like boostzex said. Bottom line is, 2 rice 4 u's hatch isn't running 13s with just mild bolt ons on a B16... that was my point.

nice, that must of been a rush.. not to often you find a person that will let you drive (correction DRAG) their Viper lol.. Lucky you 13.1 is a good run for somone (well im assuming you dont drag 12 second cars regulairly) that doesnt race professionally or at least know the car like a glove on your hand... I doubt I could do it...
